In 1953, the Christian Street YMCA in Philadelphia, with its star player, 16 year old Wilt Chamberlain wins the National YMCA Basketball Championship.

"In 2008, the Crescenta-Canada and Verdugo Hills Family YMCAs received a new association name. The YMCA of the Foothills defines our service area and fortifies the branch names."
