FAST FACTS
In 1953, the Christian Street YMCA in Philadelphia, with its star player, 16 year old Wilt Chamberlain wins the National YMCA Basketball Championship.

"In 2008, the Crescenta-Canada and Verdugo Hills Family YMCAs received a new association name. The YMCA of the Foothills defines our service area and fortifies the branch names."

"YMCAs became involved in camping in the 1860s, with its oldest established camp being Camp Baldhead, now known as Camp Dudley, which began in 1886 in Lake Champlain, NY. "
